… and so excited.  The Denver Broncos are going to the Super Bowl!

Before the Broncos played their first season-opener game on September 5, 2013, I set up this little Broncos tree to “get in the spirit” of the game.  Since the team colors are orange and blue, the tree has blue lights, orange and blue ribbons and little Broncos helmets on it.  The tree has been on for every Broncos football game since September 5, 2013, and will be lit for one more game this season- the Super Bowl on February 2, 2014.

I took this picture in September with my 8-year-old Kodak camera – no settings, nothing.  It was just “point and shoot.”  Still, I think it captures the light of hope, of fun and celebration in the lights of this little tree.  And right now, after a big win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, we Colorado fans do believe in “magic.”

Yes, my world is really quite simple.  Yet, when I see it through the eyes of my camera, it is so refreshingly “mine.”

Go Broncos!
